Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms govern the purchase and use of the Recepción24 service. By signing up, you accept them. Please read them before signing up; if you have questions, write to us.
1. Who provides the service
- Trade name: Recepción24
- Owner: Jan Michiel Adriaan Hogewoning, individual registered for business activity (persona física con actividad empresarial)
- Address: Amores 124, Col. Del Valle, Alcaldía Benito Juárez, C.P. 03103, Ciudad de México, México
- Email: hola@recepcion24.mx
- Website: recepcion24.mx
We handle questions, complaints and cancellation requests through these same channels.
2. The service
Recepción24 sets up and runs an AI assistant that answers your business's WhatsApp: it answers questions using information you approve, takes appointment, reservation and other service requests, sends reminders and follow-up messages and hands conversations that need a person to your team. The service includes:
- Initial setup with your business's information and connection to Meta's official WhatsApp Business API.
- Conversations in Spanish and English.
- Logging appointment, reservation and other requests in your business's Google Sheets or Google Calendar.
- Reminders and follow-up messages, human handoff, answer updates and support by WhatsApp or email.
The service relies on third-party platforms (Meta/WhatsApp, Google and AI and automation providers), which have their own terms and may change their features or prices. You must accept Meta's WhatsApp Business terms to use the service.
The assistant does not give diagnoses or medical, veterinary or treatment advice, and does not replace your team or emergency services. Appointments remain requests until your team confirms them.
3. How to sign up
- We show you a free demo, no commitment.
- If you decide to sign up, we send you in writing (WhatsApp or email) a summary of the service, the prices and these terms.
- The contract is made when you confirm in writing and pay the setup fee. We then collect your business's information and start the setup.
4. Prices
- Setup (one-time): $3,500 MXN + IVA, total $4,060 MXN.
- Monthly fee: $1,800 MXN + IVA, total $2,088 MXN a month.
- IVA is Mexican VAT (16%). Meta's per-message WhatsApp fees, where they apply (for example on reminders), are billed separately at actual usage and at cost. We tell you about them before the service goes live.
- If you are a legal entity (persona moral), any tax withholdings required by law will apply.
- We may change prices by notifying you in writing at least 30 calendar days in advance. Changes don't affect periods already paid, and you can cancel without penalty before they take effect.
5. Payment and invoicing
- The monthly fee is paid one month in advance. When you sign up we tell you the available payment methods and your monthly payment date.
- We issue a CFDI invoice (factura) for every payment. Send us your tax details when you sign up.
- We never charge your card or account automatically without your express consent. If you agree to a recurring charge, we will first tell you the frequency, amount and date of each charge, and notify you at least 5 calendar days before each renewal; you can cancel it without penalty.
- If a payment isn't received, we'll notify you in writing. If 10 calendar days pass after that notice without payment, we may suspend the service until it's settled.
6. Term and cancellation
- The service is month to month, with no minimum term.
- You can cancel at any time by email, through the same channel you used to sign up or any listed in section 1. We register the cancellation immediately, confirm it in writing and make no further charges.
- The service stays active until the end of the period already paid. There are no prorated refunds for unused days of the current month.
- The setup fee covers the configuration work and is non-refundable once setup has started.
- Nothing above limits any rights you have under Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC) where it applies, including the right of withdrawal in the cases set out in its article 56.
- We may also end the service with 30 calendar days' notice, or sooner if you breach these terms or use the service for unlawful purposes or against WhatsApp's policies.
- When the service ends, we hand over on request any of your business's information we hold and disconnect the assistant from your number.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, up-to-date information about your business (services, prices, hours) and review the answers before the assistant goes live.
- Confirm appointments and handle the conversations the assistant passes to you.
- Have your own privacy notice for your customers and comply with data protection law as the party responsible for that data.
- Follow WhatsApp Business policies and not use the service to send unsolicited messages.
8. Availability and liability
- We take reasonable steps to keep the assistant running continuously, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or failures by third parties (WhatsApp, Google, internet, AI providers) that we don't control.
- AI can make mistakes. That's why answers are limited to the information you approve, the assistant hands anything it doesn't know to a person, and your team confirms appointments.
- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to it, and we are not liable for lost profits or sales. This limit doesn't apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow liability to be limited.
9. Personal data
We handle your contact and billing data under our privacy notice (in Spanish). For your customers' data that the assistant receives, you are the responsible party and Recepción24 acts as processor (encargado): we only use it to provide the service, following your instructions, and never for our own purposes.
10. Intellectual property
Your business's information, texts, logos and prices are yours. The configurations, flows, templates and tools we use to provide the service belong to Recepción24; while the service is active, you may use them for your business.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we'll notify you in writing at least 30 calendar days in advance, and you can cancel without penalty before it takes effect. The current version is always at recepcion24.mx/en/terms.html.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Mexico City, without prejudice to consumers' right to go to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
13. Complaints and PROFECO
If you have a complaint, write to us first at hola@recepcion24.mx and we'll deal with it as soon as possible. If you are a consumer under the law, you can also contact PROFECO: Teléfono del Consumidor: 55 5568 8722 (Mexico City area) or 800 468 8722 (rest of Mexico), and gob.mx/profeco.
